For memory : The No. 4 seed Hawken presents a balanced attack. With only three batters batting over .300, the Hawks have done well in picking up tough wins with four wins decided by two runs or less. … Dominic Brancel and Khalil Suggs both hit three homers. But the Hawks haven’t relied on the long ball this season, but their consistent hitting throughout the lineup is what makes them dangerous. Brancel and Nick Bollinger lead the way with 16 RBIs with Khalil Suggs and Paxton Laschinger hot on their heels with 14 and 13, respectively. …Hawken also had strong throwing performances each time with a solid one-two combo from Lucas Brandt and Devin Anthony, both with sub-1 ERAs. …Canton Central Catholic has yet to clear a run in the tournament and just two shots. Ethan Lyke leads the Crusaders at bats with his .382 batting average and two more over .350. However, with no Crusader pitcher holding an ERA below 2.50, look for the Hawks to take advantage.
