4 Star Shuttlecocks You Need To Know In The Class Of 2022

The final Top247 update for the 2022 recruiting class dropped last Wednesday, but the final adjustments to prospects outside of those 247 spots occurred over the weekend. With a deadline of midnight PST on Sunday, the 247Sports national team has fine-tuned the state position and standings.

This included tabulating some four-star flyers in this senior class, and about 20 of those prospects are featured below. These are players who have been considered four-star prospects for a number of reasons, whether it’s a great senior year, a verifiable athletic profile, or some combination of these characteristics. These players have data points that suggest true NFL Draft potential over the next few years (as do countless top-tier three-star prospects, as always). That said, here are 21 notable end-of-cycle four-star additions to the 2022 247Sports rankings.

Valdosta (Ga.) High school offensive lineman Jacarrius Woodpecker was a no-brainer for an end-of-cycle four-star rating. In the 6-foot-5, 310-pound range, Peak has a great athletic profile that includes basketball, shot put, and discus. Peak placed second in the shot put (51-7) at the Georgia AAAAAA State Athletics Championships last May, and also qualified for the state event in the discus (105-3 ). He shows impressive movement ability for a tall and sturdy offensive line prospect with the potential for positional versatility up front, as well as promising striking power and attacking point strength.

Not only are Peak’s physical specs expected to make him a top prospect, but the layered athletic background projects particularly well in the long run against NFL Draft potential. The NC State signee ends his draft with a 91 rating on 247Sports, which considers him a top 30 prospect at Georgia and No. 11 nationally among interior offensive line rookies.
