Announcement of the members of the Children of the Court

Each year, new Captain Billy selects a group of children and grandchildren of Krewe members to serve as his children of the court, representing the future generation of Krewe of Bowlegs members.

They will spend the year marching and participating in fun activities and encouraging children in the community to come out and join the Krewe in parades and family events.

Hadley McGee

Duty: Bearer of the Queen’s Crown

Bowlegs Heritage: Daughter of Matt and Courtney McGee, Honor Guard 60; granddaughter of John and Pamela McGee, honor guard 25; and great-granddaughter of Howard and Katherine McGee, Honor Guards 2, 8 and 22.

Fun Fact: Attends kindergarten at Creative Play School, loves ballet and gymnastics, and wants to be a ballerina when she grows up.

finn harrison

Duty: Captain’s Sword Bearer

Bowlegs Heritage: son of Brian and Brooke Harrison, honor guard 60; grandson of Estela Harrison and the late John Harrison, Honor Guard 41.

Interesting Facts: Attends Liza Jackson Prep School, enjoys fishing and driving boats, crossed the Gulf Stream on a boat when he was 7, and wants to be an engineer one day.

Ella Needler

Position: Bearer of the Queen’s Medallion

Bowlegs Heritage: Daughter of Jonathan and Ashley Needler, Honor Guard 61.

Interesting Facts: Attends Meigs Middle School, competes in cross country and track and field, hiked the Famous Arch in Utah, and plans to become an architect.

Chandler Foster

Duty: Bearer of the Captain’s Proclamation

Bowlegs Heritage: son of Bryan and Lauren Foster, honor guard 61; grandson of Gary and Becky McCoy, honor guard 55; nephew of Charlie and Cindy Potts, Honor Guard 49, First Mate and First Mistress 57, and Charlie was Captain Billy Bowlegs 63.

Interesting Facts: He attends FWB First United Methodist School, loves baseball, football and taking care of his little brother, and when he grows up he wants to be a firefighter.

Sadie Bucktal

Duty: Carrier of the Queen’s Train

Bowlegs Heritage: Daughter of Eric and Tiffany Buckthal, Honor Guard 63.

Interesting facts: attends prep school Liza Jackson, top cookie saleswoman in her Girl Scout troop for the past two years, jumped off a pier at age 7 at lifeguard camp and wants to be a teacher .

Parker Kokis

Duty: Bearer of the line dance list of the first companion

Bowlegs Heritage: Son of John and Ronnie Kokis, Honor Guard 58.

Interesting Facts: He attends Mary Esther Elementary School, is active in several sports including football, tennis, baseball, golf, lacrosse and bowling, and wants to be an NFL football player.

finley schweikert

Duty: First Mistress High Heel Wearer

Bowlegs Heritage: Daughter of Don and Jennifer Schweikert, Honor Guard 62.

Interesting Facts: Attends First United Methodist, likes to play with dolls, never meets strangers, has two dogs named Daisy and Penny, and wants to be a State Farm agent when she grows up as a mom.

James King

Duty: Captain’s Rum Carrier

Bowlegs Heritage: Son of Nathan and Kaddie King, Honor Guard 63.

Fun Facts: Attends Bluewater Elementary School, enjoys fishing and playing football, has a greyhound named Morgan, and when he grows up he wants to be a policeman.

Kate Light

Duty: Wielder of the Queen’s Dagger

Bowlegs Heritage: Daughter of Ed and Kelly Light, Honor Guard 66.

Interesting Facts: Attends Saint Mary’s Catholic School, enjoys skateboarding, cooking and Color Guard, and plans to become an architectural engineer.

Miles Magee

Interesting Facts: Attends Liza Jackson Prep School, loves football, loves animals, has fish and two dogs named Roll and Riya, and wants to be a veterinarian when he grows up.

Bowlegs Heritage: Daughter of Gary and McKenzie Smith, Honor Guard 66

Interesting Fact: Attends STEMM Academy in Okaloosa, is good at science and history, plays soccer, and wants to be a professional soccer player, as well as a shark biologist when she grows up.

Braden Costabile

Interesting Fact: Attends Liza Jackson Prep School, loves reading, music and is a good dancer, and wants to be a singer and pianist when he grows up.
