Archdiocese releases financial statements for fiscal year ending June 30, 2022 – Catholic Philly



The Archdiocese of Philadelphia released new audited financial statements Nov. 17 for the year ended June 30, 2022.

These statements illustrate a modest core operating income surplus for the past fiscal year and an improvement of more than $217.8 million from underfunded balance sheet obligations over the past ten years.

A copy of the Office of Financial Services (OFS) audited financial statements for the years ended June 30, 2022 and June 30, 2021 can be found here, along with a narrative statement that summarizes the current financial health of the Archdiocese.

The audited financial statements released today do not include the financial results of the Office of Catholic Education, Catholic Housing and Community Services, Catholic Social Services, Catholic Charities Appeal Fund, the Heritage of Faith-Vision of Hope fundraising campaign, Saint John’s Hospice Nutrition Development Services, Saint Edmond’s Home for Crippled Children, Divine Providence Village, Don Guanella Village, Saint Francis-Saint Joseph Homes for Children, Saint Gabriel’s System, the Cemetery Permanent Lot Care Fund Irrevocable Trust, Office of Catholic Cemeteries or Philadelphia Catholic Cemeteries, LLC as all are separate entities.

Additionally, none of the reports published by the Archdiocese include the financial statements of individual parishes and parochial schools. All parishes are independent and autonomous entities.
