Discussion on urban violence this Thursday at Holy Cross Church in Federal Hill

As the grim reality of violence once again occupies the forefront of our minds and conversations both nationally and locally, the Catholic Community of South Baltimore joins forces with the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Office of the Mayor for Neighborhood Safety Commitment (MONSE) and other local partners. to provide an opportunity to discuss violence in the city, signs of hope, and ways to invest in community and healing.

On Thursday, 6/2 at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Church, the Mayor’s Office for Safe Neighborhood Commitment (MONSE) will present the City of Baltimore’s Comprehensive Violence Prevention Plan and its foundations in co-production and community partnerships.

The evening will highlight local work and partnerships with the Archdiocesan Mourning Ministry, THREAD, God’s Best Familyand TO BUILD. These community partners will present and facilitate breakout sessions for volunteers to learn more and sign up to invest their time. This event coincides with National Orange and Gun Violence Awareness Day.
