Harry J. Golmont, of Lexington, SC, died Monday, July 25, 2022. He was born in Beaver Falls, PA, the son of Walter and Natalie Golmont.
Harry was married to Betty Jean Golmont for almost 67 years. They lived in Beaver Falls for 52 years and were active members of their community and Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Harry served honorably in the United States armed forces during the Korean conflict. A proud veteran, he never missed an opportunity to pay tribute to another soldier and share his experience in the service of his country.
Influenced by his Polish heritage, his dedication and strong work ethic resonated throughout his life. He was a lifelong entrepreneur and accomplished salesperson.
A devoted husband and father, Harry spent years camping with his family and friends. Harry and Betty Jean have never turned down the opportunity to travel across the country or across town to kick a lively polka band.
In 2003, Harry and Betty Jean moved to Lexington, SC to be closer to their family. Harry was happiest in the company of his family, watching a Steelers game, listening to polka music, or working on a project.
Harry (Jadek) is survived by his three sons: Joel Michael Golmont (Alison) of Charlotte, NC, Kevin Mark (Kathleen) of Martinsville, NJ, and Tracy John of Lexington, SC; six grandchildren: Amanda Golmont, Taylor Golmont, Stephen Golmont, Kara Golmont, Renee Cizek and Eddie Ward, and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass celebrating the life of Harry J. Golmont will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 6, 2022 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2350 Augusta HWY, Lexington, SC, 29072. After Mass, the family will greet friends in the church hall.
