Obituary of Henry Stanley Rebinski, Pop Pop
Henry Rebinski, 87, entered his paradise home on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 to find his wife, Theresa.
Henry was born to the late Henry and Adeline “Della” (Paznonski) Rebinski in Warrior Run, Pennsylvania on September 14, 1934 and grew up in Plymouth, Pennsylvania. From an early age, he was immersed in the Catholic community which would be his support and devotion throughout his life. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1952 and joined the Navy as an electronics technician from 1953 to 1957, where he was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. He will then work as an electrician at Hoffman La Roche where he will retire after 27 years.
Henry met the love of his life, Theresa Marie Sudol on a blind date in 1955, and was married on November 16, 1957. During their 51 happy years together, Henry never never missed an opportunity to show her love through Sunday walks and hand-picked roses from her garden. Henry was blessed with a large and loving family. He and Theresa had 5 children, 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Together they all shared a love for gardening, beekeeping, winemaking, woodworking and photography. He loved nature and could often be found sitting on his back porch sunbathing or feeding peanuts from his shirt pocket to Chippy, the chipmunk. He was also known for raising mealworms for his bluebirds and gifting plants and vegetables to his friends, children and grandchildren. He loved trains and music, especially Willies’ Roadhouse. He also encouraged his family to devote themselves to their communities and instilled in them the importance of a spiritual life. He was a first responder, boy scout leader and member of the Knights of Columbus; Later in life he was treasurer of the Mansfield Seniors, an avid gym goer and held many roles as an active member of St. Theodore’s Roman Catholic Church, attending mass daily.
Henry will be sadly missed by his 5 children, daughters; Ann Dehrone and her husband Richard, Janet Jacobus, Jennifer Walck and her fiancé Steve; sons, Henry Rebinski, Jr. and his wife Deb and John Rebinski and his wife Christine; beloved sister, Mary Smith; grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, David, Ashley and her husband Bobby, Matthew, Stephen, Micah and his wife Samantha, Lauren and his partner Brandon, Shannon, Ricky and his fiancée Paige, Trisha and her husband Shain, Erica, Christian and his partner Alicia, Nicole, Justina and his companion Jake; great-grandchildren; Makaylin, Kylie, Kentleigh, Cahlen, Harper, Isaiah and Elias; beloved cat Tobias. Henry is predeceased by his son-in-law Larry Walck and his angels, Elizabeth, Richard and Lauren Ann.
Relatives and friends may visit the family on Saturday, January 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07863. A Christian Burial Mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. at St. Theodore Roman Catholic Church, 855 Route 57, Port Murray NJ 07865.
