His large family and his youth in the post-depressive era shaped his character traits throughout his life which included a deep love and zest for life, wonderful sense of humor, upright head, intelligence. and a saving of money, and above all a deep honor and love of his family. Her famous smile is a warm memory for all who knew and loved her. Her family soon moved to Havertown, Pennsylvania, where Maureen grew up as the middle child of a close-knit and energetic family. She built a group of close friends that she retained for the rest of her life as she attended and graduated from Haverford High School in 1954 and Gwynedd Mercy College in 1956. It was with her own family. that “Maurzi” really shone. In 1957, she had a blind date tobogganing on Wissahickon Avenue in Philadelphia with David M. Maurzi constantly fed a small army, healed wounds, taught manners and sewn buttons for his family, all with a smile while taking care of the lives of his exuberant and growing family of 5 sons and 1 daughter. When challenged in life, Maurzi has repeatedly proven her salt and always landed on her feet. After her marriage to David, she had a long career as a Main Line real estate agent with Fox & Roach, a 20 year relationship with Bill ‘Wooly’ Woolford of Gladwyne, PA, then remarried late with Larry Paul Sr. from Sanibel Island, Florida. She had a self-taught knowledge of horticulture, loved antiques, regularly celebrated her Catholic faith, and was an outstanding investor in stock and real estate, but Maurzi was mostly happy to court her grandchildren at home. in the Gardens of Ocean City (a house she bought for a bargain) and spending another lovely day on the beach surrounded by friends and family with your toes in the sand.
