St. Peter’s Catholic Church/St. Mary of Mount Clemens Catholic School has hired Dr. Patrick Adams as the school’s new principal. Adams has over 20 years of experience as a principal, most recently at Roseville High School.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be chosen to serve as St. Mary’s next principal. I am thrilled to be the steward of a school community with a 152 year history. I am committed to fostering the positive legacy established by Mrs. Miscavish and growing under the guidance of Fr. John. Accompanied by the grace of God, we will continue to nurture and promote Saint Mary in the best tradition of Catholic education. I look forward to meeting our students and our parents,” he said in a press release.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Detroit, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, and an Education Specialist degree from Wayne State University. Her Ph.D. is in Educational Leadership and Administration from Oakland University.
Adams will succeed Maureen Miscavish, who is retiring after 15 years at St. Mary’s.
Teacher Kathy Falk has accepted the position of vice-principal. Falk holds a Juris Doctorate from Detroit Mercy School of Law and a Professional Certificate in Education from the University of Detroit. She has taught at St. Mary’s since 2002.
“I am very pleased to join the administrative staff of St. Mary’s School as Vice Principal, and I am grateful for the confidence that Father John, Father Christopher, Maureen Miscavish and Pat Adams have placed in me in this new opportunity. While I will most certainly miss the classroom activity, I am blessed to continue my career at St. Mary’s School, its staff and the students who are so close to my heart,” she said in the press release.
