Clarine (Hlavaty) Blahuta, 90, from West, died on Monday November 22, 2021 in West. A rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with visitations to follow until 6 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Clarine was born on October 23, 1931 in West, daughter of Jim and Tracie (Maneth) Hlavaty. She attended the former Denton Hill School, West Elementary School and graduated from West High School in 1948 at the age of 16. On June 4, 1951, she married George A. Blahuta in West. George predeceased her in death on December 22, 2000. Clarine worked as a cashier at West Bank & Trust for almost 20 years and was a member of the Waco Chapter of the American Institute of Banking. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, playing cards, sewing, quilting, being outdoors and traveling, especially spending the summers with her husband in Colorado. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking for herself and was very proud of her Czech heritage. Clarine was a life member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in West. She was also a member of KJZT Society # 11, St. Anne’s Altar Society, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 4819 Ladies Auxiliary.

Clarine is also predeceased by her parents; brother, CJ Hlavaty; and his son-in-law, Larry Clements.

Survivors include her daughter, Beth Roberts and her husband, Ray, of China Spring; his son, Allan Blahuta and his wife, Kathy, of West; grandchildren, Brandi Blahuta of West, Todd Blahuta and Shana of West, Jason Clements and Jill of Waco, Jared Clements and Kristin of Waco, Cameron Roberts of China Spring, Bryce Roberts and Chrissy of Ft. Worth, and Kristen Baird and Daniel from Waco; great-grandchildren, Turner, Zadie, Liyah, Tatum, Cooper, Libby, Caitlin, Cash, Colter and Jacob; a great-great-granddaughter who arrived in December 2021; two sisters, Anna Jo Chudej of Waco and Tracy Kidd and Bill of Las Vegas; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
