Obituary of Patricia Selig (1958 – 2021) – Lincoln, NE

Selig, Patricia Ann “Patty”

September 26, 1958 – November 2, 2021

Patricia “Patty” Ann Selig, 63, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday November 2, 2021. Patty was born on September 26, 1958 to Clel and Ardella Miller. She attended Meridian High School and graduated in 1976. On June 16, 1979, she married her high school sweetheart Joe Selig. Throughout their 42-year marriage, the couple welcomed three children, celebrated many successes and enjoyed life.

Patty was the fourth of six children – and the only daughter. For this reason, she was known to be strong-willed and determined, two traits she worked hard to instill in her three children. Above all, Patty liked people to feel taken care of and welcome. She looked forward to spending time with her family and loved to spoil her grandchildren. “Grandma Patty” was always ready to read any book the grandchildren brought her.

Patty is survived by her husband, Joe Selig; daughters, Lindsay (Chris Buehner) Selig-Buehner and Brittany (Jesse) Kudron; his son, Troy (Alli) Selig, his grandchildren: Siena Kudron, Finnian Kudron, Milo Kudron, William Buehner, Lucas Buehner, Cooper Selig and Sloane Selig; her brothers, Lonnie (Janet) Miller, Lyle (Kelly) Miller, Lynn Miller and Lowell (Becky) Miller. She was predeceased by her parents; and his brother, Larry Miller.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (7900 Trendwood Drive, Lincoln, NE 68506) with a rosary at 7 p.m. PATTY’S FUNERAL SERVICES will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery and a reception at the Country Club of Lincoln.

To honor the wonderful nursing care Patty has received over the past few months, the family requests that briefs be sent to the Bryan College of Health Sciences Nursing Scholarship (Bryan Foundation, 1600 South 48th Street, Lincoln, NE 68506) or UNMC College of Nursing Scholarships, Lincoln Campus (University of Nebraska Foundation, 1010 Lincoln Mall, Suite 300, Lincoln, NE 68508).
