As editor and chief executive officer of the Clarion Herald, the newspaper for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Pete Finney Jr. is pursuing an accomplished career in journalism. Finney has worked at the Clarion Herald since 1993.
A graduate of Jesuit High School and Loyola University, Finney also worked for the New York Post and the New York Daily News.
Finney has been recognized for his exceptional work on several occasions, including receiving the St. Francis de Sales Award from the Catholic Press Association.
Finney is the son of the legendary Peter Finney Sr., who served the New Orleans community for 68 years as a preeminent sports journalist in the history of the region.
