The four Tennessee football players invited

With Sunday’s Super Bowl marking the official end of the 2021 NFL season, all eyes will be on the 2022 Draft from April 28-30. For most prospects, it’s a process that has already begun with private practices and appearances in various Senior Bowl games. Tennessee football was well represented in these games, with players traveling around the country to show off their skills.

It all comes to a head at March’s NFL Combine, an exclusive event with a limited number of guests participating in various drills under the watchful eye of general managers and coaches from all 32 NFL teams. Four former Vols received combined invites after strong showings in the 2021 regular season and subsequent appearances in postseason games.

Offensive lineman Cade Mays, cornerback Alontae Taylor, wide receiver/return specialist Velus Jones Jr. and defensive lineman Matthew Butler are all heading to Lucas Oil Stadium – home of the combine in Indianapolis, Indiana – in less than a month.
